Guarantess of Origin of Generation from RES and CHP

 In order to comply with the provisions of Directives 2004/8/EC on CHP and 2001/77/EC on RES, the Cyprus Government has drafted the Law for the Promotion of Combined Heat and Power, law N174 I/2006 and Law 162(I)/2006. The law calls for the establishement and operation of an Electronic Registry for the issuing, transfer and redemption o Guarantess of Origin of Electriclty produced from Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Combined heat and power (CHP). This Section contains the Laws, regulations, Decrees and Manuals relevant to the Electronic Registry.
